I feel bad. Kyle is really bummed out because he used to work there and he LOVES the Adventurer's Club. Plus, this pretty much eliminates any possibility of adult nightlife. I guess the new Irish bar is staying open, but I do sort of miss the craziness we got into at Motions. For those who aren't familiar, Motions was a really tacky club where basically they played Top 40 while guys humped anything that was even remotely moving on the dance floor. I know it doesn't sound like a loss, but it's a little time capsule of being on the Disney College Program. (I was 19, give me a break.)

Gone is the 80's club with the light up dance floor and the gyrating middle aged tourists. Gone are the day-glo girls with their test tube shots and blinking earrings. Gone is the club that I can never remember the name of...you know, the one with the spinning dance floor where nobody ever went...

And gone is any hope of the traditional bachelor/bachelorette party. It's funny, I wasn't looking forward to it, but now that our options are closed, I'm a little unhappy about the whole thing. Where's the "Save P.I." petition? I'll sign it right now.

  2. OMG! I'm bummed! I'm getting married at Disney this November and just randomly ran across your blog. My girlfriends and I were planning to go out a few days before the wedding to celebrate. I can't believe I hadn't heard about this.

  3. So, you may have already gotten the answer to this...and I guess P.I. has long been closed now :-( (BOOO!!!), but the name of the club with the spinning dance floor was Mannequins. Even though no one went in there, I loved that club! Fond Spring Break '99 Memories ~ awww...

  4. Yes, I'm 2 years behind on reading this particular post... However, everyone will just move over to Boardwalk Inn and go to the Atlantic Dance Hall... There may be another spot there but I can't remember.

    All is not lost!

But I remember a bunch of 40-something dudes trying to dance with us at 8-Trax when I was a CP too! Oh, the memories!
